Company Profile

Ancient Proverb:  If you want a harvest in one year, grow a crop.  If you want a harvest in ten years, grow trees.  If you want a harvest that will last a lifetime, grow people.

At BRI, we believe in that proverb on the most fundamental level.  When we started BRI, it wasn’t just to make money and produce infrastructure projects.  We started BRI because we wanted a company that would make a difference – not only in the lives of our clients, but in the lives of our communities and the people we employ.

For 20 years, we have worked both inside and outside of the box to build a better working environment, not just for us, but for our employees, their families, and the clients we are honored to serve.  Much of our foundation for that comes from recognizing that everyone has value and something to offer.  That means offering flexible opportunities to capture the brain trust represented by those who have retired after a career spent in public service, as well as the men and women who have chosen to work part time while raising the next generation of humanity.   It also means providing education and a way forward for our young students coming out of college.  It has been our honor to have been named as the Employer of the Year for IRWA Chapter 27 in 2011, 2012, and 2015.

Our Staff

At BRI, we believe that investing in our employees returns dividends for our clients.  There is nothing that is more important in what we do than our people.  One of the hallmarks of our staff is a drive for continuing education and excellence in all that we do.  Our appraisal group includes seventeen (17) California Certified General Real Estate Appraisers, eleven (11) of whom earned the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.   In addition, we are fortunate to have three (3) appraisal reviewers with the prestigious AI-GRS designation.  Our acquisition and land agents include thirteen (13) California licensed real estate brokers and twenty-one (21) real estate salespeople.  Additionally, we have four (4) SR/WA designated staff with numerous additional staff pursuing designations through the International Right of Way Association.  We are also proud to offer six (6) Project Management Professionals (PMPs) certified by the Project Management Institute.

Our professionals stand as examples of BRI’s commitment to providing quality staff who understand complex real property issues.  We are proud to offer the deepest bench of in-house appraisal staff in the industry.
