Content Specialists are responsible for all aspects of Republic FC’s digital presence and personality. From content creation to engagement, the content specialists oversee and manage the day-to-day presence of the club on all social networks, and the Republic FC mobile application. In addition to content creation and management, the Content Specialists are also responsible for ideation and delivery of Sponsored digital programs and content and participating in the development of marketing campaigns to support tickets sales, brand initiatives and Team Store objectives.


  • In partnership with other Digital Department members and the VP, Marketing, oversee all aspects of club’s online and digital engagement with stakeholders including but not limited to: fans, supporter groups, youth soccer clubs, season ticket holders, influencers, local and national media and athletes.
  • In collaboration with VP, Marketing and other digital department members, design and implement a digital content strategy to align with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Responsible for creating compelling digital content including but not limited to website articles, blogs and videos, website updates, social media posts and engagement.
  • Develop and implement digital strategies to build club relevance in local, regional, national and global soccer communities.
  • Track, report and make databased decisions about content through TrackMaven, a digital analytics, strategy and reporting partner.
  • Monitor and report on website metrics via Google Analytics.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends online to ensure the club is on the cutting edge of digital content.
  • Collaborate with Ticket Sales, Stadium Operations and Guest Services to lead the online customer service efforts.
  • In collaboration with other digital department members, video and creative team members, lead all matchday online engagement including but not limited to: live social posts, updates on players status, scores, trivia, sponsored content, pre/post game reports, etc.
  • Responsible for contributing to the consistent use of and growth of the SRFC brand messaging and aesthetics.
  • In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications departments, update and ensure all content is current and compelling.
  • Such other duties consistent with the position as may be assigned to you from time to time.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, marketing, visual design or related field.
  • 4+ years in directly-related digital and/or social media management experience.
  • Proven knowledge of digital and content trends both in soccer and the broader global sports industry.’
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video editing and photography to support content creation.
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing and providing databased insights.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize competing short-term and long-term project deadlines.
  • Experience working with internal teams to support business objective, providing intelligence and advice.
  • Ability to take initiative to develop and execute plans with limited oversight and some ambiguity.
  • Superior judgement, emotional intelligence, and cultural competency.
  • Passion for the sport of soccer/football and Sacramento.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
