Entry Level Audit Associate Contractor 1099 - Remote

This is an entry-level position for future finance or accounting professionals to work with a top-five financial consulting firm. The position starts between May and August and ends in December. The candidate has the option to transfer full-time to the financial firm if performance and openings are available at the financial consulting firm.

The Audit Associate will be responsible for performing audit procedures in collaboration with other team members in collectively performing an audit of a client’s financial statements. This will include applying basic areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems. This is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience in accounting principles.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or other relevant field required

Experience:

• Leadership experience preferred
• Accounting-based internship preferred

License/Certifications:

• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment (preferred)
• Actively pursuing completion of CPA exams (preferred)

Software:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Prior experience with various assurance applications and research tools preferred
