Medical Claims Operations Intern

we are a growing medical claims company that helps healthcare providers improve revenue cycle performance through accurate claims process processing, insurance follow up, and denial management. We are looking for a motivated, detail, oriented, student interested in healthcare administration, business, finance, or Health information management to join our team. As a medical claims operations intern, you will gain hands-on experience with the medical billing and revenue cycle process. You will work alongside experience, professional professionals to support claims processing, insurance verification, payment, posting, and administrative projects while learning how healthcare reimbursement works.

Responsibilities:

Assist with reviewing and organizing medical claims documentation.

Help verify insurance eligibility and patient information.

Support claim submission and follow up activities.

Assist with payment posting and reconciliation. 

Research claims denial and prepare information for appeals. Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation.

Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and other office software.

Perform general administrative and operational support is needed.

Participate in training on HIPAA, compliance and healthcare privacy regulations.
